StoryNest collects minimal information to provide you with the best reading experience:
- Profile Information: Your child's name, avatar preference, and age group. This is stored locally on your device only.
- Reading Progress: Chapter completion and playback position data, stored locally on your device.
- Subscription Data: If you subscribe to Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected information solely to:
- Personalize the reading experience for your child
- Save reading progress and preferences
- Manage subscription status through RevenueCat (our subscription management partner)
3. Data Storage
All personal data (name, avatar, reading progress, preferences) is stored locally on your device using iOS built-in storage. We do not maintain external servers that store your personal information.
4. Third-Party Services
StoryNest uses the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat: For subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous usage data. See their privacy policy.
- Apple App Store: For payment processing. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
StoryNest is designed for children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent
- No data is shared with third parties for advertising purposes
- We do not display targeted advertisements
- Parents can request deletion of their child's data at any time

You can delete all app data at any time by:
- Deleting the StoryNest app from your device (removes all local data)
- Contacting us at support@storynest.app for any additional data removal requests
